Suicide Prevention – Reaching Out and Saving Lives

SDM PG Rotaract club in association with the Rotary Club of Mangalore organized a workshop on ‘Suicide Prevention – Reaching Out and Saving Lives’ for the Rotaract members in and around the colleges of Mangalore, at SDM College Conference Hall. Dr Laveena Director of Ave Maria Palliative Care and Coordinator of Mangalore Suicide lifeline, addressed young minds about, suicidal tendencies, causes for suicidal thoughts, mental illness related to it and how to support/prevent peers from such actions. Students actively participated by clearing their doubts. This program was organized as an observation Month for Mental Health.
