Rotary Blood Mobile

Rotary Club of Mangalore as part of Rotary International`s Global Grant Project with Rotary Club of Schererville (USA) donated a “Rotary Blood Mobile” (Blood Donation Bus Project worth about Rs.53 Lakhs) to the Indian Red Cross Society Dakshina Kannada District on 6-Nov-2017 at Loyola Hall, St. Aloysius college, Mangaluru. The state-of-the-art bus is fitted with 4 beds, 8 donor waiting seats, refrigerators, air-conditioners and equipment to enable the hygienic collection of blood in rural areas as well as urban centers. The bus will also help to disseminate information on importance of blood donation.

Following up on the Rotary International`s Global Grant Project – Blood Mobile Bus – done by Rotary Club of Mangalore with Rotary Club of Schererville (USA) additional equipment’s like Refrigerator, Blood bag Tube sealer , etc were donated to Indian Red Cross Society Dakshina Kannada District recently. Members of Rotary Club of Mangalore visited the IRCS Blood Bank in Lady Goshen Hospital along with PDG Ganesh Bhat of RID 3170 and PDG Suryaprakash Bhat on 25.01.2019. Office-bearers of Red Cross and Staff of Blood Bank were present on the occasion.
